What is Gifts of Light?

Gifts of Light are practical, meaningful gifts that meet the unique needs of mental health and addiction patients at CAMH. When you purchase Gifts of Light on behalf of your friends and family, you help people in crisis on their journey to recovery. Shop Gifts of Light.

As a world leader, CAMH treats some of the most complex mental illnesses and addictions. We see plenty of pain and suffering but also amazing stories of hope and transformation.

Gifts of Light can play a role in those stories by offering comfort, dignity and hope

Our patients come to us in the darkest, most difficult times in their lives. Many arrive with only the clothes on their backs, with no support from family and friends. Sometimes, they have no home to go back to.

These simple gifts — socks, underwear, or a hat and mitts — mean so much to our patients.

A simple gesture from someone I didn’t even know, reminded me that I wasn’t alone.

Gifts made to CAMH Foundation’s Gifts of Light program go towards providing thoughtful gifts and meaningful experiences to CAMH patients.
