March 15th, 2018- Step up and Stay Up
Mental Illness keeps thousands of people up at night in your region. So step up and stay up with me to take down Mental Illness. This year on April 6th, I will be staying up all night to raise money to support those suffering from mental illness. Donations will be going to opening treatment centres, continuing research, and providing those who suffer with the comfort and support necessary to beat this illness.
Mental Illness should be treated the same as physical illness. My dream is to become a professional in the mental health discipline so I can support those who need it during their hardest times.
Did you know the majority of individuals incarcerated suffer from mental illness? Through my studies of Forensic Psychology I am learning about the prevalence of mental illness within the criminal justice system and how I and you can help understand an offender better and support both offenders and victims through treatment. However, mental illness is not confined within the walls of a prison, it is confined within the skull of many who surround you daily.
Do you have what it takes to stay up and support with me? If not that's okay, end the stigma and start the conversation with me through a small donation. Every dollar counts and it is greatly appreciated by myself and all those suffering or know someone who is suffering.
March 2nd, 2018- Join Me In the Battle Against Mental Illness
This year I have decided to join the #OneBraveNight challenge to raise money to support Mental Health. Many people struggle with mental health the entirety of their lives and unfortunately the waiting times for therapeutic help can be long. Mental Health is so important to me and I aspire to earn a career where I can assist those with mental health struggles, as well as learn to cope with my own.
Join me in the battle to defeat mental illness by donating to the One Brave Night campaign. I will be spending an entire evening awake sharing what I know about mental health. It doesn't sound like much, but awareness is key. Share this post or join the campaign and stay up with my the night of April 6th, 2018.
I appreciate all support and here is to ending the discrimination that surrounds mental health and promoting wellness in all.I’m stepping up to defeat mental illness!
The CAMH One Brave Night for Mental Health challenge is a Canada-wide challenge to inspire hope for Canadians living with mental illness.
I took the #OneBraveNight challenge because I want to inspire hope for people living with mental illness now – and to defeat mental illness. By making a donation to my One Brave Night, you are helping CAMH improve access to care, conduct research to find better treatments, and build more spaces for healing.
This is our chance to step up! Please donate generously and help me reach my fundraising goal.
