This is my second-annual One Brave Night challenge!
Same as last year, I'll be participating in memory of a dear friend. The day that he left us, Chris sent me a link to a body painting competition - he was always wildly supportive of my work and I think of him all the time, how I'd so love to have the chance to show him what I'm up to.. I know that he'd be excited for this and it's with great love that I dedicate this fundraiser to Chris and his memory.
On May 11th I'll be body painting, prosthetic-applying, and generally make-up'ing all night long in support of CAMH One Brave Night - a Canada-wide challenge to inspire hope for Canadians living with mental illness. 2 out of 3 people with a mental illness are prevented from getting help because of the stigma surrounding mental health - the idea of One Brave Night really resonates with me as a reason to get the conversation going!!!
It'll be live-streamed on May 10th so you can tune in aaaall night, watch the process, and donate. Donations go directly to CAMH to improve access to care, conduct research to find better treatments and build more spaces for healing.
