Dear friends
Join us on Friday, May 10th, at 7pm at Mahtay Cafe (241 St. Paul St., St. Catharines), for "One Brave Hour of Poetry", a presentaion of spoken poetry that traces various mental health journeys through the curative and restorative powers of verse. As well as some original poetry by myself and some good friends, we will explore the groundbreaking works of Sylvia Plath and William Shakespeare among others.
Published local poet and visual artist, Mori McCrae will also be reading from her works.
Admission to this "Donate What You Can Event" is by any amount you choose, either at the door, or above, on my personal donation page.
All proceeds to go to CAMH for research and mental health programming as part of their annual One Brave Night campaign.
Because of a number of generous gifts, I have already reached my original donation goal. So with 11 days to go, I am resetting my personal donation goal to $1,000.
If you wish to donate but cannot attend the presentation, those contributions will also be gratefully accepted on the same page above.
By supporting me either way, you'll be helping to make real and positive changes in people's lives.
Together we will fight stigma, fund innovative care, and provide access to new and promising treatments for people living with mental illness.
Hope you will be able to donate and/or join us May 10th from 7:00-8:00 pm at Mahtay for this exciting hour of hope.
