On Friday, May 10th, our team of talented poets, comedians, musicians, and artists will be showcasing their hidden talent in support of mental health! These performers with lived mental health experience will be bearing the soul and entertaining the audience at The Ossignton in Toronto from 7:00-9:30 pm. The event has been organized in honour of the loving memory of Aleksandra Stavroff: the team captain Rebecca Bitton's best friend who tragically lost her life to suicide and depression. Raising funds for this cause is being done in hopes that no more talented artists will need to lose the fight for mental health so long as the right inpatient and outpatient services are available to the 1 in 5 troubled youth in Toronto.
CAMH One Brave Night is a chance to share a piece of myself with the world for a great cause. I am excited (and a bit nervous!) to express my passion and creativity, so we can inspire hope for the one in five Canadians who experience mental illness every year.
Please donate today and help me reach my fundraising goal.
Together we will break down stigma, fund innovative research, and provide access to new and promising treatments for people living with mental illness.
