Family and friends of the JPT Crew -
I’m stepping up on April 6th to break the silence. I have GAD and panic disorder. These mental illnesses fuel my physical illness which is IBS. I come from a long family line of mental illness - depression, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders and addiction.
CAMH has been critical to the health of my family and we can never repay them for the support they provide. So instead I ask you you join me for #onebravenight with any support you can afford. I will be dedicating my night to providing support to one of the most marginalized, abused and neglected communities in this allegedly wonderful country our ancestors stole from the indigenous peoples and named Canada. I am joining the sit in for the full night in support of our aboriginal Canadians and mental health awareness. I have already provided food, tents, sleeping bags, a power generator and heaters, but what really counts is my physical presence and support. Our indigenous communities need to know they are not alone in this fight and we are prepared to stand by them to begin righting the wrongs of the past 500 years.
I never solicit sponsorship or donations, but if you can help me reach my goal it would mean so much to me. This is a small chance to give be back on many levels.
Please will you join me and help me to reach my fundraising goal?
