2019 One Brave Night for Mental Health

Wellness, not Illness



"When "I" becomes "We", even Illness becomes Wellness"

Our team is made up of strong, independent people who are fighting the good fight against mental health stigma.  We are standing up in the community to say, "we are not any different and we deserve fair treatment in the health system".  We are lucky to have each other and a vast support system, but so many people don't have the luxery that we have.  Our hope is to gain appreciation and acceptance in communities to support those who are struggling.

Our team is raising money to stop mental illness from destroying lives by participating in CAMH One Brave Night for Mental Health, the all-night challenge to defeat mental illness.

Practice these quick stress relief ideas:

  • When you are feeling stressed, take a moment for yourself. Being aware is the first step to change.
  • Go for a brisk walk around the block. Focus on the movement of your muscles and relax each one in turn.
  • Listen to your favourite soundtrack, musician or song. Close your eyes and sing along.
