This holiday season, Ossington Chiropractic & Rehabilitation is raising funds to help support The Gifts of Light program at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is the largest teaching hospital in Canada focusing on mental illness and addiction. Research is done at CAMH to investigate the causes, treatments and prevention of mental illness and addiction at all life stages.
CAMH involves a diverse group of both clinicians and patients, where they have a number of initiatives to allow inclusivity. CAMH is not only exclusive to treatment, but with helping others one more step further with the transition to re-connect to the community. Through the Gifts of Light program at CAMH, patients are able to connect with others, access basic necessities and activities, and transition back to the community.
Gifts of Light is a 100% donation-funded program that works with patients, families, and front line clinical staff to identify the patient wellness gaps in our system and support areas that do not receive ministry funding – with the goal of improving the patient experience.
So, for this holiday season OCR needs your help! We will have a donation box at front desk as well and ask that each patient donate to Gifts of Light! For every $1 given, OCR will match it!
