Hello friends! As many of you may know, it wasn’t too long ago that I lost two people who were very close to my heart. Since then I’ve been wanting to do something that will have a positive impact on our community. For this reason, I've begun a month long journey to hike 900km along the Bruce Trail starting from Niagara Falls and ending in Tobermory.
After much thought and research, I have decided to raise money to donate to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health #CAMH. Not many people may know this, but suicide takes more than 10 Canadian lives a day - this is an incredibly scary statistic for something that could be prevented! And there’s even more people who have thoughts of suicide or attempt suicide. With everything that’s been ongoing around the world and currently in Canada, it’s taken a toll on the mental health of many individuals. CAMH provides many programs, services, and resources for #mentalhealth and #suicideprevention (click the link below for more info!).
If there’s anything we’ve learned this past year and half, it’s that as a community we can accomplish anything in union! Help me set an example to support the mental health of our fellow Canadians and raise more awareness. If we can help save even one life, we’ll have done a tremendous deed. Let’s together create an #impactthatmatters! Join me along this journey on Instagram and LinkedIn where I will be posting daily updates.
Lastly, please share this post on as many social networks as you can and help spread awareness. I’d also like to extend an invitation to anyone that would like to join me on this trek - you could join at any point and for however long you want. Message for more details if you’d like to join!
