Mental Health is Health. Put in the time & make every minute count.
This fundraiser supports CAMH, Canada's leading mental health hospital.
Did you know that 1 in 5 Canadians experience mental illness in any given year? And that 4,000 Canadians die by suicide every year—almost 11 people per day?
And yet, many don't realize that, in its most severe forms, mental illness can be fatal. Not long ago, we lost a young friend who suffered from mental illness and drug addiction. It was devastating to his family and friends who will forever wonder what more they could do. I believe that what they have done is courageous in sharing his story of addiction. It's something that needs talking about.
With your support, we can change how the world sees and treats mental illness. We can break down stigma and lead important conversations about drug addiction and suicide prevention. We can give people time to get the help they need; families time to heal; and researchers and clinicians time to make breakthroughs and offer new treatment options.
Together, we can give people hope for a better tomorrow.
I am challenging myself to reach 10,000 minutes of exercise in the Peloton Annual 2022 Challenge. While this will be good for me, the fundraising, with your help, will be great for CAMH. Every minute counts!
