Power For Purpose

International Overdose Awareness Day (August 31st) is a global event that aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of drug-related death. This is especially pertinent given the increasing overdose deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital, dedicated to making a difference, supporting causes such as this by encouraging evidence-based treatment and scaled-up, low-threshold harm reduction services.

With your support, we can change how the world sees and treats mental illness and addiction. We can give people time to get the help they need; families time to heal; and researchers and clinicians time to make breakthroughs and offer new treatment options.

Power for Purpose is teaming up with fitness trainer Kieran Zajac to help reach this goal in support of CAMH, International Overdose Awareness Day, and addiction and mental health awareness.

We invite you to give whatever you can, but we hope that you can join us in participating in a 30 minute zoom pilates class led by Kieran Zajac on Saturday, August 28 at 10:15-10:45am. To register for the class:

1. Donate a minimum of $15 through this page.
2. Email powerforpurpose@gmail.com the email address or phone number you would like your Zoom link for the class to be sent to.
The link will be sent out to use on August 28th once we have verified your donation and have received your email.

We hope that you can join us in working towards this cause!

Please feel free to email powerforpurposefundraiser@gmail.com if you have any questions.
